Van Isle Barge Services Articulating Tug and Barges (ATB) vessels transit further up the Fraser River than any other daily shipping service linking Vancouver Island with the logistics providers in the Lower Mainland. Our Surrey terminal is much closer to Industrial Regions and the Trans Canada Highway, saving most trucking companies approximately 1/2 hour of travel time on each trip.

The sailing route from Surrey to Duke Point is a 48 nautical mile crossing, navigating about 15 nautical miles through the Fraser River waterway and out into the Strait of Georgia. The average transit time for the westbound voyage is scheduled for 4 hours and 45 minutes with the return eastbound trip about 5 hours and 15 minutes.

Our convenient schedule has been established for freight to arrive in the prime early hours of each morning at Duke Point and then return to Surrey in-time for daytime deliveries through out the lower mainland.
